Why won't my ex leave me alone?

My jerk of a ex I broke up with like 3 months ago he has a new girlfriend now but won't leave me alone, I honestly want nothing to do with him but I have no reason to be mad at him anymore so I can't just ignore him, everytime i'm on facebook chat he tries to talk to me why and how do i make him stop
